The Siya crew have been informed that Bidvest Wits are interested in Moroka Swallows’ Lerato Chabangu, with the player’s contract set to expire in a few months.
Chabangu, 29, will see his current contract with the Dube Birds expire at the end of the current season, and as of yet, there has been no indication as to whether he will commit to the club or not.
With that in mind, the attacking midfielder is now free to have talks with any interested parties after entering into his last six months with Swallows, and the crew is led to believe that Wits are just one of the clubs that could make a move for him.
Chabangu has found some form again this season, scoring five and grabbing three assists in his 17 league games so far, something that will no doubt help his cause as he looks for a new contract.
It remains to be seen whether the former Mamelodi Sundowns man will commit to Swallows or look elsewhere, though it seems he will have no lack of potential suitors.
