Chippa United midfielder Lerato "Ace" Chabangu is grateful to his new boss, Chippa Mpengesi, for giving him a chance to continue his career.
Chabangu produced a good performance on Saturday against his former team, Mamelodi Sundowns, though it did not end on a winning note as the Chilli Boys were knocked out of the Telkom Knockout.
The former Moroka Swallows midfielder admits that he thought he was set to join Bidvest Wits, but the move never happened and he is grateful that Chippa put faith in him.
"Both myself and Wits thought I will be joining them but it never worked out and Mr Chippa gave me the job,” he told the Siya crew.
“I am happy that I am playing again and I am grateful to Mr Chippa. You know I am not 100% fit but I am working on that and soon I will be there doing my best to help the team do well this season.
“It's good to be at Chippa and I am enjoying my life here. I don't regret not signing for Wits at all," Chabangu concluded.
