Mamelodi Sundowns striker, Leonardo Castro, has revealed why he left a big club in Bolivia to join the Brazilians.
Castro joined Downs ahead of the current campaign from one of the Bolivian Primera Division’s top side Club Deportivo Universitario, who currently sit in fourth place in the league this season.
The Colombian marksman has already helped the Brazilians lift the Telkom Knockout trophy and he has indicated why he decided to make the move to Chloorkop.
“I was playing for a big club in Bolivia and what attracted me to Sundowns is their ambition and vision to win things,” Castro told Soccer Laduma.
“I knew if I became part of such a team we would be able to win trophies, so I am happy we have already done that within six months of me joining.
“I am happy to be at Sundowns and I know there are many expectations which I want to fulfil with the team.”
