Auguston Leonard is back on a club-hunting mission after parting ways with National First Division side, Milano United.
The Reiger Park-born defender made the move to the Grassy Park-based outfit in Cape Town during the January transfer window, after seeing little game time and not falling in the plans of Ernst Middendorp at Bloemfontein Celtic.
He signed a short-term deal with Theo Hempe’s side, and will not be staying on a permanent basis at the club, having already left for Johannesburg.
He informed the Siya crew, “I still have to look for a team. I’m back in Jo’burg now. When I got to Milano, it was on a short-term contract and I didn’t renew. Nothing has come up yet, but I’m sure of signing for a team soon.”
It was a disappointing spell in Cape Town for the former Moroka Swallows man, as he was signed with high hopes of helping the team gain promotion to the PSL, but did not play that many games.
