Chiefs Signing Leaves The Country
Leonard Castro Won't Be Making His Kaizer Chiefs Debut v SuperSport United
Kaizer Chiefs’ newest acquisition, Leonardo Castro, will not be making his debut against SuperSport United because he will be back home in Colombia.
The 28-year-old was unveiled as an Amakhosi player earlier this week after the club reached an agreement with Mamelodi Sundowns over his transfer, but he will not be having any training sessions with the club until next year.
Chiefs fans will have been hoping to see the striker in action when they go up against SuperSport on January 6th in their first game of 2018, however, the Siya crew have been informed that he won’t be in the country at that point.
It remains to be seen when the player will arrive back in Mzansi, and therefore when he will be able to don the gold and black of Kaizer Chiefs for the first time.
The Glamour Boys are believed to have paid upwards of R2m to Masandawana in return for the South American’s signature in order to get him for the second half of the season, but it appears their fans will have to wait a little bit longer to see him in action.
Siya sources explained that Castro leaves South Africa this week and will only return at some point in January.
