SuperSport United midfielder, Kurt Lentjies, looks set to return to his former club, Maritzburg United, after 18 months away from the outfit.
Lentjies, 28, joined Bloemfontein Celtic in July of 2012, signing a one-year deal, although then left them to make the switch to Tshwane.
Now it seems that the midfield man could be on his way back to Pietermaritzburg in the near future, with a source close to the player telling the Siya crew that talks are at an ‘advanced stage’.
They explained, “Talks regarding a return to Maritzburg for Kurt Lentjies are at an advanced stage, we should know by the end of business today.”
Meanwhile, Lentjies’ current teammate, Rowen Fernandez, seems to have already said goodbye to the midfielder, tweeting saying, “Sad to see Kurt Lenjties leaving us but wish him all the best with his new challenge!! #trueprofessional”
The Siya crew will continue to monitor Lentjies’ situation over the course of the day as he looks to finalise a return to the club at which he was in such fine form.
