Wits Tie Down Attacking Duo
Lehlohonolo Majoro & Daylon Claasen Have Extended Their Stay At Bidvest Wits
Bidvest Wits may be planning some changes in the off-season as they look to bounce back from the disappointment of 2017/18, but they’ve tied down two of their attacking players.
Both Daylon Claasen and Lehlohonolo Majoro played vital roles for the Clever Boys this season as they won the Telkom Knockout and maintained their Absa Premiership status, although were due to see their deals expire at the end of June.
Now, however, the Siya crew has been informed that Wits have exercised their options on both players as they prepare for the 2018/19 campaign in which they’re eager to climb their way up the table and continue their success on the trophy front.
The one-year option on Claasen and Majoro will now see them remain in Braamfontein until 2019, and the duo is expected to have a big say in how Wits do in the Absa Premiership next season.
At this point in time, it remains to be seen whether the options will be exercised on numerous other players, with Wits planning a revamp of their squad in the coming weeks.
