Lehlogonolo ‘Vieira’ Masalesa appears to be in football limbo, with the player not registered at Orlando Pirates for this season.
Masalesa is one of the players that were affected by technical team changes at Pirates at the end of last season.
The midfielder is not in the plans for coach Muhsin Ertugral and his technical team, with the player having been linked with Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns and Cape Town City in recent times.
However, the 24-year-old is still contracted to Bucs and interested clubs have to pay a transfer fee to the Soweto giants if they want to sign him.
According to the latest squad lists from the PSL, Masalesa hasn’t been registered for this season. With the transfer window closed, the player appears to be in limbo as he is unlikely to play competitive PSL football in the first-half of the season under the current circumstances.
It remains to be seen if Masalesa might have to wait for the January transfer window to get a chance to sign with a new club to continue with his career.
