Ex-Pirates CCL Star Secures Clearance
Former Orlando Pirates midfielder, Lehlogonolo Masalesa, has secured his clearance from Platinum Stars – now Cape Umoya United – following their relegation.
The 26-year-old was unable to help Dikwena in their battle to stay in the Absa Premiership last season and it has now been revealed to the Siya crew that he has mutually terminated his contract at the club following the drop into the National First Division.
Masalesa, who played 13 games for Stars last season, is now on the lookout for the next chapter in his career, and Siya sources have revealed that there have already been a handful of Absa Premiership clubs that have shown an interest in potentially bringing him on board.
‘Vieira’ played a big role for the Buccaneers in their march to the CAF Champions League final back in 2013, and recently spent a short spell playing in Europe for Greek team, Larissa.
The defensive midfielder will be eager to get his future finalised as soon as possible so that he can focus on his career once again.
