Orlando Pirates midfielder, Lehlogonolo ‘Vieira’ Masalesa, looks to have turned a corner with the Buccaneers.
The lanky midfielder appeared to have fallen down the pecking order at Bucs over the past couple of months, so much so that he was linked with a move away from the club.
Just last month the Siya crew reported that the Buccaneers were eyeing a potential swap deal that would see Cole Alexander join the Soweto giants from Polokwane City with Masalesa moving in the opposite direction.
However, the latest news out of the Buccaneers camp has revealed that due to the midfielder's recent showings, there has been a change of heart and the club are considering offering the player a new deal.
The 23-year-old was particularly impressive in both legs of Pirates’ semi-final clash with Al Ahly in the CAF Confederation Cup, helping them reach the final.
Siya sources have indicated that the technical team have been impressed with the player’s performances and are now looking to keep him at the club and tie him down to a new deal.
What do you think of Masalesa’s recent turn in fortunes? Do you think his displays warrant a new deal?
