Lechesa Replaces Heric At City

Polokwane City have appointed Duncan Lechesa as the club’s new coach, with the former Carara Kicks mentor taking over from Vladislav Heric following the Serbian’s exit.

City’s chief operating officer, Tincy Tema, confirmed with the Siya crew that the former Free State Stars and Ajax Cape Town player has already started in his new role at the club.

“I can confirm that we have appointed Duncan Lechesa. He is our new head coach. He has already started and is the one who is busy with the squad,” said Tema.

Lechesa will be expected to improve the team’s current table standings, with the side currently sat in 15th place on the NFD log. However, the team does have seven games in hand and will have the opportunity to challenge for league honours.

The team had a number of games rescheduled last year, following the tragic loss of four of their players.
