Lebohang ‘Cheeseboy’ Mokoena has signed with a new club, for the new season, after parting ways with Maccabi FC at the end of last season.
The former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns winger played for Maccabi in the National First Division last season, but has now been snapped up by Swallows FC for the GladAfrica Championship.

Swallows are back in Mzansi’s second tier after purchasing the status of Maccabi, and Mokoena is one of the players signed by the club under their new management.
Mokoena, 32, previously also played for Ajax Cape Town in his career. Swallows are scheduled to begin the season with a match against TS Sporting at the Dobsonville Stadium on Saturday.

As reported by the Siya crew, Swallows have also signed Itumeleng Shopane and Ayanda Rorwana on loan from Kaizer Chiefs as coach Zeca Marques is working on assembling a strong squad for the team’s return to Mzansi’s second tier.
