Former Mamelodi Sundowns’ winger, Lebohang ‘Cheeseboy’ Mokoena has admitted that he accepted a challenge when he decided to join up with Ajax Cape Town.
The Urban Warriors are currently struggling for form in the 2016/17 PSL campaign, and after joining up with the Cape Town-based club during the off-season, Cheeseboy believes that along with Mark Mayambela and Nathan Paulse, their senior experience will be influential in changing things around at Ikamva.
“For me, this is another career challenge as I’m coming into a team comprised, mostly, of youngsters and a team that has never really pushed itself in terms of regularly competing for honours. Having done all of that with Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, I believe I bring experience to the team.
“We need to share our knowledge, guide the younger guys with the help of other senior players in the team, as well as have a positive influence in the team. People are still going to see the best of me and Mark, not forgetting the likes of Nathan Paulse,” Mokoena told the Siya crew.
