Cape Town City’s Lebogang Manyama admitted that his side is aware of the threat that Bidvest Wits impose but are looking forward to an exciting encounter this evening, April 19.
The last time the two sides met in the Absa Premiership, City claimed a 3-2 win over the Students at the Bidvest Stadium, where Manyama scored a cracking goal to secure all three points during the final minutes of the encounter.
Speaking at a pre-match press conference, the 26-year-old revealed that he will never forget that specific encounter as he looks ahead of this evening’s clash against Wits at the Cape Town Stadium.
“Ja look, obviously, games like that you can never forget as an individual, but for me it was obviously how it’s been the whole season, it was a matter of a good performance from the whole team,” Manyama told the media.
“Obviously we know what we are up against, they’ve hammered us once or twice, we know how powerful they are but we are looking forward to an exciting match,” he added.
City currently holds the number one spot in the Absa Premiership league standings and will look for nothing less than a win against their title rivals, who are trailing just one point behind with two games in hand.
