Kaizer Chiefs’ midfielder, George Lebese, is expected to return to the team for Sunday’s game against AmaZulu.
The 24-year-old has been out of action of late with a swollen foot, although he has made the trip to Durban despite not being fit for tonight’s encounter against Golden Arrows.
The club’s head coach, Stuart Baxter, explained to the Amakhosi’s official site that Lebese ‘should be back for January’ while fellow midfield man, Lucky Baloyi, ‘is still out until January’.
Chiefs are also without Lehlohonolo Majoro for the game amid speculation of him leaving the club after he was left back in Gauteng due to sickness.
Meanwhile, Stuart Baxter says that he remains wary of their opponents, despite their place at the bottom of the league.
He said, “Their coach, Mark Harrison, is still trying to organise the team. It takes time especially when you try to get the workmanship of the team right. It doesn't happen overnight. They have decent players who like to play and I think the coach is trying to get them to balance their good play with hard work,"
Baxter’s side take on Abafana Bes’thende at Moses Mabhida Stadium at 19h00 tonight as they look to leapfrog Mamelodi Sundowns and go top of the PSL standings.
