Following his side’s humiliating 4-0 loss to Mamelodi Sundowns in their Telkom Knockout last 16 match on Sunday, Bloemfontein Celtic coach Clinton Larsen admitted his side were outclassed by a very good side.
“It is very, very simple, we were totally outclassed today by a very good team,” said Larsen.
“The boys must dust themselves off now and keep soldiering on.
“In the first 45 minutes they got behind us once when Bryce Moon crossed for the third goal. The first goal we gifted them with a poor clearance form the goalkeeper. The second goal came from a free-kick we gave away in a dangerous area.
“So in the first 45 minutes you go in at three-nil down and the opposition only got behind you once, it is a bitter pill to swallow, but we didn’t do enough today.
“We were vey, very average today and we got punished for it.
“We gave the ball away to cheaply today. We didn’t have enough penetration today, we have a lot of areas to work on.”
