Recently axed Maritburg United coach, Clinton Larsen, has confirmed that he is planning to add to his coaching qualifications by going on some courses in the near future. The 42-year-old, who parted ways with United after a fairly brief time in charge, also explained that he was looking at taking some courses in Europe to increase his knowledge.
Larsen spent a productive three years at Bloemfontein Celtic before joining the Team of Choice last October. Unfortunately the talented young coach suffered six losses in nine matches after trying to put in place a more attacking game plan at the club.
However, with time still very much on his side in his coaching career, plenty of job opportunities are expected to still come his way in the future. Larsen spoke to the Siya crew about what he had planned when it comes to doing some coaching courses.
He said, "Yes, I'm looking at doing a coaching course. I'm working with my agent to see what course I can attend. I should know in the next month or two where I'm going. I'm hoping to secure an attachment with a European club so I can see how they do things."
