Bloemfontein Celtic coach Clinton Larsen jetted out to Namibia on Wednesday afternoon to run the rule over potential targets for his team.
“I’m currently in Botswana and will fly back to South Africa on Wednesday morning. I was here to watch some players in the Botswana versus Nigeria game this past weekend.
“Later on Wednesday, I’ll go to Namibia to watch the game between Namibia and Nigeria. There are couple of players that we would like to have a closer look into in that game as well,” Larsen told Soccer-Laduma ahead of his short trip to Namibia.
The Siwelele coach, however, refused to give the names of the players he was monitoring.
“I would love to give you names, but you know how it is, the moment I give you names then the other teams would pounce on them. All I can say right now is that I’m looking for an attacking midfielder and a striker,” added Larsen.
Phunya Sele Sele did fairly well last season, winning the Telkom Knockout and finishing fifth on the log, but it seems Larsen wants to continue that success next season by bolstering his squad.
Last week Celtic signed 18-year-old goalkeeper Sebastian Bailey from the Farouk Abrahams Goalkeeper and Life Skills Academy and are now looking to continue to bolster their squad.
