News reaching the Siya crew is that Polokwane City is on the verge of signing Lamla Joyi in an attempt to strengthen the team for the 2014/15 season.
The striker has been playing for Peacemakers FC in the SAB League in the Eastern Cape.
In September last year the 21-year-old had a trial at Mamelodi Sundowns hoping to start at the club’s development and work his way up through the ranks at the time.
The player’s agent, Sipho Joyce, confirmed to the Siya crew that Joyi is close to securing a move to Polokwane.
“Lamla Ernest Joyi, who had a trial with Sundowns, is joining Polokwane City. We have agreed on terms with the club’s owner Johnny (Mogaladi). He (Mogaladi) has been very cooperative to me and the player’s boss at his current club. We will be in Polokwane on Monday to finalise the player’s move to the club,” said Joyce.
Joyi told the Siya crew that he is happy about the possibility of playing football at the highest level.
“I’m happy. It will be the first time that I will be going that side. I have been playing for Peace Makers,” said Joyi.
