Maritzburg United captain, Kurt Lentjies, has vowed that his side will not go down without a fight in the battle for relegation this season.
The 31-year-old will be taking on Mpumalanga Black Aces tonight, in a game that could prove pivotal to his team’s survival in the PSL, and says that his club will approach every game like a final.
“For us we have seven cup finals to play now,” he told the Siya crew. “Every game from now until the end of the season is like a cup final.”
The former Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder continued to say that his team will fight to the death, despite losing to Aces recently in a Nedbank Cup encounter.
“We will keep on fighting until the end,” he continued. “It's true we lost the Nedbank Cup game to them but today is a different game and we are going for the three points.”
The Team of Choice currently lie 16th in the PSL standings, seven points off safety, with seven games to go.
