Kurt Lentjies is likely to sign a one-year contract extension at Maritzburg United after undergoing seemingly successful talks with the Team of Choice.
The 29-year-old, who joined the club earlier this year, will see his current contract in Pietermaritzburg expire at the end of this month, and has attracted attention from both Platinum Stars and AmaZulu.
It was reported by the Siya crew back in April that Dikwena and Usuthu were keen to make a move for the midfielder, though the player himself was always believed to favour a stay with Maritzburg.
Now, after the two parties were involved in discussions regarding the player’s future, it seems that he may well get his wish, with a one-year deal likely to be the outcome of their talks.
Lentjies has less than a month to run on his current deal with Maritzburg, and will be keen to get his future finalised in the coming weeks.
