The latest news reaching Soccer-Laduma is that former Orlando pirates head coach, Ruud Krol, is in the running for the SuperSport United job.
Gavin Hunt's departure from SuperSport was confirmed by the club earlier today, with Wits subsequently announcing that Hunt would be taking charge of The Students.
A short-list of potential candidates has since been identified, as revealed on the Soccer-Laduma web and mobi-site earlier today.
Although Cavin Johnson is believed to be the favourite to take over at the helm of the Tshawne-based side, four other names have been added to the mix, including Steve Komphela, Ernst Middendorp, Mark Harrison and Owen da Gama.
The latest developments surrounding the vacant job on the Matsatstana bench have seen Krol added to the short list, according to sources close to the club's dealings.
The Dutchman left the PSL two seasons ago, on the back of a treble-winning season with Bucs. He has since moved on to CS Sfaxien in Tunisia where he helped them clinch the league title with a 2-1 victory over Club Africain in their final game of the season just a short while ago. It marked CS Sfaxien's first league triumph in eight years.
It remains, to be seen who the Supersport management will finally announce as their new head coach.
