Komphela Worried Chiefs Are Losing Their Belief
Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela was yet again at a loss as to why his side couldn't convert their chances against Jomo Cosmos on Tuesday.
The Amakhosi dominated their Absa Premiership clash with Ezenkosi, who were content to sit back and defend, but they simply could not turn their possession into goals.
The hosts' profligacy in front of goal was punished in the 85th minute as Mxolisi Macuphu fired home with a sensational strike.
"It's the same story again. We play good football. It was a good performance. We created chances but we didn't take them. What else can you do?
"My only worry is that the players could lose their belief and their confidence, and that could affect their performance.
"What's important is to convert these performances into results."
When asked about the strike, Komphela added: "If you had to ask me, give a ball to the Cosmos team and ask each of their players to try and make that strike, I'm sure they could miss all of them.
"But it happens when it is not your day. That something out of nowhere could happen."
