Komphela Comments On Ntiya-Ntiya's Chiefs Debut

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Steve Komphela has commented on the performance of AmaKhosi debutant Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya.

The 21-year-old was promoted to the first team earlier in the week and subsequently handed a start against SuperSport United.

Ntiya-Ntiya played 80 minutes as Chiefs were held to a 0-0 draw at the Mbombela Stadium on Saturday night.

"I think he did well, very calm on the ball, very intelligent. He chooses a better option in any scenario," Komphela told SuperSport after the game.

"This kid has grown. The next match he plays is not going to be the same and it's also great inspiration to (Nkosingiphile) Ngcobo who is still in Johannesburg.

"The only challenge for youth is that they have hype, they have fun and you need to control that. You must be brave enough to give them opportunities but it's a hell of risk."

It is good to give young stars game time Coach, bloggers who criticise you will appreciate you when you have left their club. History will judge them.

Big up Jola,I'm not Zebra, but what you are doing my brother needs an applause, you have consistently given young stars a chance in every team you coached in your career...perhaps could be the reason that the haters classic song of a trophy less coach is selling platinum,my message to you is, every coach has a philosophy in which results are a barometer...keep believing in your in it and keep producing these young stars,to my boy,Sipho, keep it up boy..becareful of fame..

@chiccovaro when chiefs got rid of 8players how many did they replace/buy? Steve was made to soldier on with quantity that was left but still kept chiefs in a respectable position. Learn to appreciate my guy n don't just criticise coz of hate

@chiccovaro don't you think Baxter is the reason y chiefs isn't getting results now? If I'm not mistaken almost 3/4 of chiefs key players were bafana seasoned campaigners with an average of 30years of age. Now how many youngsters did he promote to takeover from the crop he had? 2ndly in a business perspective Steve is still doing better that Baxter. How much did Baxter use to buy those players n how much has Steve used so far? You must realise that it is always important to invest for the future than to keep buying year after year. Look how much Ajax has made through their development in the past 5years. Do you know that ajax has made more than any club in the PSL just through development. Be wise chief soccer is business not just entertainment
