Kaizer Chiefs head coach Steve Komphela accepted responsibility for the criticism from the AmaKhosi supporters following their 1-0 loss to Chippa United.
Chiefs extended their winless run in the Absa Premiership to five matches with the loss at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.
The Chiefs coach was asked about the 'Steve Must Go' chants after the game.
"We don't fight back [against the criticism]. You understand the frustration — because when things don't work, the coach is accountable naturally," Komphela told SuperSport after the clash.
"That's leadership. In any position, when things are not working, a point of reference is the one in charge and you accept that in leadership."
"The beauty of it is that players are still working and applying themselves, which is a good thing."
