Knowledge Musona’s agent, Mike Makaab, says that the Zimbabwean favours a move overseas, but that if he was to return to South Africa, Kaizer Chiefs would be his only choice.
Speaking to the Siya crew, Makaab explained that they are currently in the process of sorting out Musona’s future, reiterating that the 23-year-old is eager to stay in Europe.
Makaab recently returned from Germany where he had talks with Musona’s current club, Hoffenheim, though it seems that his future is far from finalised.
Speaking to the crew, Makaab said, “We’re in the process of organising a new deal with Knowledge, whether it be overseas or at Kaizer Chiefs, but he’s made it clear that his first option is to go back to Europe.
“There’s interest from a number of clubs in Europe, but if he doesn’t go there then he’ll re-sign for Chiefs. They’re the only club in South Africa that he’d consider, he’s told me that himself. There are no other clubs in South Africa that he’d join.”
It is known that Chiefs are extremely interested in bringing Musona back to Naturena next season, though the hefty transfer fee being demanded by Hoffenheim could scupper that move.
