Kaizer Chiefs striker, Knowledge Musona, looks set to miss tomorrow night’s clash with Golden Arrows, but should be fit to take on Mamelodi Sundowns.
The forward rolled his ankle during the 2-0 win over AS Vita at the weekend, but had to be substituted after jumping over a tackle from one of the opposition’s defenders.
Chiefs had originally feared the worst, sending the 23-year-old for scans on Monday, however it has been revealed that the injury is not a serious one, and that there were no muscle or ligament tears.
Musona is almost certain to miss to miss tomorrow night’s game with Abafana Bes’thende, a crucial one for the Amakhosi to regain a three-point gap at the top of the league, but should return for the crunch game against second-placed Sundowns this weekend.
Matthew Rusike was the man chosen to replace Musona when he was carried off on Saturday, and Stuart Baxter could opt to use one Zimbabwean to replace the other when they host Arrows at FNB Stadium tomorrow night.
