Kaizer Chiefs’ head coach, Stuart Baxter, says that Knowledge Musona's injury is a 'mystery' because the medical team can't tie down the actual problem.
The 23-year-old has been missing from the Chiefs line-up since limping off in the 2-0 win over AS Vita late last month, and despite being close to a return twice, he is yet to make his comeback.
Musona rolled his ankle during the CAF Champions League win and was expected to miss just one game, however it seems that the player is not yet ready to make his return to action.
Speaking in today’s press conference, Baxter said, “Knowledge Musona's injury is a little bit of a mystery. The medics can't treat it because they can't pin it down. He will go for another scan to pinpoint his exact injury. We are missing him. At the time he got his injury, he was flying.”
Baxter will be keen to have the Zimbabwean back available for selection as soon as possible as the club continue to struggle in front of goal, with Bernard Parker unable to regain his early season form.
