Knowledge Musona could make his long-awaited Kaizer Chiefs comeback when they take on Polokwane City on Wednesday night.
The Zimbabwean has been carrying a ‘mystery’ ankle injury since the 2-0 win over AS Vita in the CAF Champions League, and despite being expected back on several occasions, he is yet to feature for the Amakhosi since that game.
The 23-year-old was in fine form going into the AS Vita game, grabbing the opener in that fixture too, before limping off the field after a challenge from one of the Vita defenders.
Musona was expected to make it back in time for the Golden Arrows game the week after the Vita victory, though has now missed four Chiefs games due to his injury, with Stuart Baxter saying that it was a mystery because the medical team couldn’t find out what was wrong with him.
However, there could be good news for the Amakhosi faithful this week, with the Siya crew being led to believe that he could finally be ready to make his first team comeback.
