Ex-Bucs Coach: I Felt I Did Not Belong
Kjell Jonevret On His Resignation From Orlando Pirates
Former Orlando Pirates coach, Kjell Jonevret, has spoken exclusively to Soccer Laduma about leaving the Soweto giants.
The Swedish coach, who had been the head coach of Pirates since February, parted ways with the club last month. Jonevret’s departure was announced by Pirates on August 02.
In their official statement, Bucs confirmed that the coach resigned from the club and Jonevret has since been replaced by Serbian coach, Milutin Sredojevic at the Buccaneers.
In an exclusive interview with Soccer Laduma, Jonevret has spoken about his resignation from Bucs.
“When I came back to start the new season, I felt that I did not belong anymore at the club. But as I said, I hate to quit and I hate to give up. At the same time, I wanted the club to have success and the supporters wanted success. I think it is important to accept that some things just don’t work out as planned,” said Jonevret.
The coach has spoken further about his time at Bucs in an exclusive interview in edition 1039 of Soccer Laduma.
