Nkhatha Scores Brace In SuperSport Friendly
Kingston Nkhatha scored a brace as SuperSport United beat Angolan side Petro de Luanda 4-0 in a friendly game on Saturday.
While, Thato Mokeke and Thamsanqa Teyise scored the other goals.
It was SuperSport United’s final warm-up game before the PSL resumes next week and coach Gordon Igesund was delighted with his new Zimbabwean signing and his team ahead.
“It was very very good, Nkhatha got a brace, and Mokeke and Teyise got one each,” Igesund told the Siya crew.
“I wanted to use the game as our final preparations for next week, so I didn't give all our new signings a run out,”
“It’s been a long break, but we've used the break, before hand we had one or two injuries, and now we’re all back, and we've had extra time to get prepared.”
Igesund heaped praise on Stan Matthews and the club for the signings they've made during the window.
“You know a lot of these players I only expected to get next season, so it’s brought plans forward, and given the squad a real boost."
SuperSport play Free State Stars on Wednesday.
