Bafana Bafana has kept a clean sheet in their two most recent Group A 2014 World Cup qualifiers, both against the Central African Republic (CAR) - winning 2-0 at home and 3-0 in the away leg. Gordon Igesund’s side has netted five answered goals.
Goalkeeper and captain, Itumeleng Khune, is looking to continue with their defensive record on Sunday, as they face Ethiopia at the National Stadium in Addis Ababa.
Khune, who is expected to lead the team out tomorrow, is adamant on keeping a clean sheet. He believes that they need to find the back of the net early on, which will unsettle their opponents.
“We need a clean sheet. We have to keep a clean sheet. That will help us as we want to score early and unsettle them. So if we score and keep it tight at the back, then we have all the chances of winning this game.
“We all know that we only want one result from this game and that's a win. With the spirit in the team we can do it,” the PSL Player of the Year concluded.
