Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune is confident that South Africa can go all the way in this year’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The shot-stopper put in a Man of the Match performance in Bafana’s 2-2 draw with Morocco which saw the Afcon host nation finish at the top of Group A and advance to the knockout stages.
On Saturday South Africa take on Mali at the Moses Mabhida Stadium as they aim for a semi-final berth. Khune believes that they will be unstoppable if they show the character that was evident in the draw with Morocco.
“I don’t think there is anything that will stop us if we show that great team spirit like the way we did against Morocco. And it’s not only me as the goalkeeper, but also the in-field players as well who are behind each other all the way.
“We all have a great team spirit in camp and I believe that’s why we have come this far. We won't let it go at this point because we have fought hard for all the results that we have achieved and nothing will stop us now,” the Kaizer Chiefs keeper expressed.
