Khune: Down To Team Work

Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune kept yet another clean sheet as South Africa defeated Angola 2-0 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Wednesday night, in this year’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Despite making some vital saves to keep the Palancas Negras at bay, the Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper said that the win was a team effort. He told the Siya crew that no player can be singled out for the win, with the entire side needing to take credit.

“That's what we call team work. I was happy that I kept a clean sheet but it couldn't have helped if we didn't win. We worked as a team and we won the game.

“We have worked hard since drawing the opening game to change the results and that hard work paid owhen we didn't just win but also didn't concede a goal," Khune expressed.
