African Warriors have refuted the news that FC Basel's owner Shandukani Nesengani is their new shareholder/director.
Following a report linking Nesengani to the First Division club, Bafana Khumalo, the brother of the late Warriors' owner Jabu Khumalo, has set the record straight in the matter.
"It's frivolous, there’s no such thing," Khumalo told Soccer-Laduma. We are quite surprised to have read the story.
"No shares are up for sale. A few months ago in the Bloemfontein High Court there was an order to confirm that my late brother had a number of shares, and the administrator of the estate is dealing with them."
With the club still trying to overcome their ownership "squabbles", Khumalo is adamant on the current situation.
"We don't know Nesengani. I can tell you he doesn't know us, he's never met any of us and I can't even pronounce his name," he concluded.
