Word reaching the Siya crew is that the appeal case against Mpumalanga Black Aces Mabhudi Khenyeza has been postponed again.
Khenyeza was set to appear before the arbitrator, Advocate Terry Motau, tomorrow but now word is that the case has been postponed until January next year.
It is not known at this stage as to why the case has been postponed again.
Aces Media Liaison Officer Gordon Masondo told the Siya crew that his club was in the dark in as far as the postponement of the case is concerned.
“But the club will accept whatever decision is taken,” said Masondo.
Khenyeza was initially handed a 12-month ban by the PSL Disciplinary Committee after he was found guilty of spitting at assistant referee Zakhele Siwela during a match between Ajax Cape Town and Mamelodi Sundowns in April.
He appealed his ban and the Safa Appeals Board subsequently reduced his ban to a R50 000 fine, with R25 000 suspended for 12 months. The PSL then decided to appeal the ruling.
