Midfielder Khayelihle Shozi has joined a GladAfrica Championship side after parting ways with TS Galaxy, the Siya crew has gathered.
Khayelihle Shozi, a former Mamelodi Sundowns player, is no longer on the books of Galaxy and will be in the colours of JDR Stars. According to information received by the Siya crew, Shozi has agreed to join Stars ahead of the new campaign and will be one of the players unveiled by the club in the coming days.
It is believed the player will be on loan for the season and a decision on his future with Galaxy will be taking after the upcoming campaign.
The 26-year-old midfielder made 14 appearances in all competitions during Galaxy’s first season in the topflight last term.
According to information received by the Siya crew, Shozi finalised everything with JDR on Monday, August 16, and should be ready to start the new season with his new teammates.
JDR recently confirmed that they have parted ways with Bafana Kali, Dumisani Ngwenya, Malesela Chokoe, Moses Mokasi, Nkosinathi Ndlovu, Felix Noge, Olwethu Ncube, Onyedikachi Ononogbu, Sifiso Mzizi, Teboho Moloi, Thato Motlhamme, Tshepo Mokhabi, Tshepiso Molotsi, Vusimuzi Mncube and Emmanuel Ndwandwe.
JDR are scheduled to play the University of Pretoria in their opening league match on Saturday, August 21.
