Q: How much did Pirates get for reaching the CCL final and how much did it actually cost the club in their campaign, is the CCL really lucrative?
Submitted by: FUTBOL_JUNKIE
A: Pirates received around R10 million for reaching the final of the CAF Champions League. I say around because the prize is in US dollars, US $1 million to be exact. As for how much it cost Pirates to play in the competition, it's difficult to answer that one because SA clubs don't reveal such information to us.
Q: How can we, Bucs and Chiefs people, get along nicely in Bafana games as it sometimes kills the fun?
Submitted by: Sawa_jnr
A: The rivalry between the two teams' supporters has escalated to the national team, which is a shame really because once a player wears the Bafana jersey, he is no longer a Chiefs or Pirates player, he is a national team player. The sooner the supporters understand this, the better for Bafana.
Q: Greetings Khaya, what's your take on this tension between Minister Mbalula and FIFA secretary Jerome Valcke.
Submitted by: mayaman2
A: Greetings, Mayaman. My understanding is that this tension was caused by miscommunication between the two gentlemen. Valcke was wrong to make the announcement about FIFA taking over the match-fixing investigation through the media. But Mbalula was equally wrong to respond to the media reports the way he did. The two gentlemen should have discussed this issue first before going public about it.
Q: Amongst the teams you're responsible for, which of them has the most functional youth structure and which team should put more emphasis on their youth structures?
Submitted by: patriot
A: As far as I know, Aces, Pirates and Swallows have functional youth structures, but City as a new kid on the block, so to speak, are still organising their youth structures. But it's a well-known secret that the Pirates development academy has produced more players over the years than those of Aces and Swallows structures.
Q: Did lasers cost Pirates ACL?
Submitted by: VASRATE
A: The lasers might have played some role in disturbing the players' concentration, but I don't think they cost Pirates the ACL. I think poor finishing at home and in Egypt cost Bucs the title. Had they taken half of the many chances they created against Al Ahly, Pirates would have won the Champions League.
