“I am at home at the moment and I keep myself busy by training with boys from development teams. We sometimes play friendly games against Second Division and NFD teams. People will be surprised when I get another chance to play, you guys will be shocked.

"I’m feeling very good at the moment. I’m fit and ready to play. I play friendly games with guys like Masibusane Zongo and (Thabiso) Monareng on weekends. Some people even cry in disbelief when they see us play.

"They think we aren’t trying hard enough to get teams in the PSL. We aren’t playing the same kind of football played by the other players, we don’t play ordinary football. Three weeks ago I played in Tembisa and I entertained the crowd there. I have been invited to a tournament in Vaal this week.

"I will never give up like my friend Jabu (Mahlangu). He is my friend, but I won’t give up. I’m 28 and can still play for another six to seven years. I am talking with two clubs in the PSL and things are promising. I should start training with one of the clubs soon,” said Khanye.
