News reaching the Siya crew is that former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Junior Khanye is eyeing a move to Polokwane City.
The skilful player believes that he can add value at the PSL strugglers this season.
“I played in a tournament in Vaal this past weekend, like I said when I last spoke to Soccer-Laduma. I played very well. People were very happy to see us playing there. I was in the same team with Steve Lekoelea. But Steve didn’t play.
"It was all about entertaining people and they were happy to see us playing. People were still happy although we lost in the semi-finals. It was a good tournament.
"I spoke to Duncan Lechesa about joining Polokwane City. He told me that he was talking to the club’s chairman about that. All I wanted was to get another chance to prove myself,” said Khanye.
With Lechesa having parted ways with the Limpopo outfit, it remains to be seen if Khanye will still attempt to join the club under another coach.
City recently handed Thapelo Tshilo, Prince Hlela, Kagiso Senamela and Luyanda Hlongwa another chance to revive their careers. The four players were signed as free agents.
