Khama Billiat’s absence from Mamelodi Sundowns’ matchday squad on Sunday, December 10, has since been explained.
Sundowns claimed a 1-0 win over Golden Arrows in the Absa Premiership at the weekend, with Billiat the noticeable absentee from Head Coach Pitso Mosimane’s forces.
The Zimbabwean has been heavily linked with an exit from the Chloorkop-based club, however, it seems that the player is still in Mosimane’s plans for as long as he is contracted to the club.
Siya sources have explained that the 27-year-old was not included in the squad due to injury, with Billiat also taking to his official Twitter account to confirm why he watched from the stands on Sunday.
Now, it remains to be seen whether the player will be fit enough for the Brazilians’ upcoming Absa Premiership encounter when they host Maritzburg United at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Wednesday.
