Bafana Bafana midfielder Kagiso "KG" Dikgacoi sat out of Monday morning’s training session at the Orlando Stadium, as coach Gordon Igesund put the players through their paces.
The Crystal Palace midfielder is believed to have twisted his knee during Saturday’s international friendly against Algeria, and as a result, was forced to rest today.
Speaking to the Siya crew, Bafana Bafana media officer Matlohomola Morake said that KG was left out of this morning’s training session as a precautionary measure. Morake said that the injury is not serious, however they do not want to aggravate it.
"As you saw KG didn't train with the team because it was a precaution measure. The team doctor will be working closely with him to monitor his progress. It is nothing to worry about though. He will be okay," Morake expressed.
