The 21-year-old already has three games under his belt with Maritzburg United in all competitions since he made the switch earlier this month, scoring his first senior goal against Free State Stars a couple of weeks ago.
If Makgalwa features for Maritzburg in their next game, the youngster will have played as many games for the Team of Choice as he has done for the Brazilians, and Pitso Mosimane will be delighted with the amount of game time that he’s getting after being made part of Lebohang Maboe’s move to Chloorkop.
As reported in the most recent issue of Soccer Laduma, Sundowns and Makgalwa prolonged their relationship with a new deal that could last until 2023, with the forward penning a three-year contract with a two-year option prior to jetting out to Pietermaritzburg.
Makgalwa shone in the Multichoice Diski Challenge prior to his promotion into Mosimane’s first team, and will now be keen to add to his Absa Premiership tally as Maritzburg continue their search for a first win of the season.
