Kelepu spent the second half of last season at Pirates, having signed for the club in February. The defender previously played for Carara Kicks in the NFD.
Kelepu told the Siya crew that he made the move to the Cape side, after he was approached by the club’s head coach Duncan Lechesa.
“I’m in Cape Town already. Duncan approached me last weekend and I came this side. I have signed for the club and will play here until the end of the season. The thing is that I wasn’t registered with the club (Pirates) this season. I will return to Pirates in June,” said Kelepu.
Lechesa is a big fan of the player with the two having previously worked together at Carara.
Lechesa wanted the player to join him at Polokwane City during his time as the coach of the Limpopo outfit, although the deal fell through at the last minute.
