Mamelodi Sundowns have been drawn against Platinum Stars in the quarter-final of the Nedbank Cup.
The Brazilians' midfielder Hlompho Kekana tells Soccer-Laduma that for Sundowns, it is a fair draw, but will certainly come with some challenges. He added that their intention is to reach the final of the competition and eventually lift the trophy.
Stars have been in scintillating form this season and are currently in third place on the ABSA Premiership table, and getting past them to reach the final will be no mean feat for Sundowns.
The former SuperSport United midfielder said, "I think it is a fair draw. You don't choose which team to be drawn against but looking at the other draws this is a fair one.
"We know how good Platinum Stars are and we won't take them for granted. I know we lost to them in the league game and we will play them before the cup game again. We have to play this game to win and reach the semi-final."
