KV Kortrijk’s South African goalkeeper, Darren Keet, has extended his contract at the club by a year, which sees him through to 2016.
The 24-year-old, who recently made his debut for Bafana Bafana against Zimbabwe, was due to have his contract expire in June 2015 but has now had an extra year added to it.
Keet has been in fine form for his club over the last two seasons, receiving plaudits from fans and pundits alike in Belgium for his performances for Kortijk in the Belgian Pro League.
The Siya crew recently reported that the shot-stopper was hoping to earn a new and improved contract at the club and it has now been confirmed that he has received his wish.
News of his new deal is the second piece of good news for Keet, who hails from Edgemead in Cape Town, after he was once again selected in Gordon Igesund's Bafana side for the upcoming friendly against Morocco.
