Wits striker, Getaneh Kebede, is being allowed some time to recover from an ankle injury that he has been carrying.
The Ethiopian has enjoyed a bright start to his career with The Students, as he already has four goals to his name in just six appearances. The 21-year-old has quite a profilic record as a striker in his young career, having scored seven goals in just 19 starts for the Ethiopia national team.
However, according to a source at Wits, the player has been battling with an ankle injury and will be given some time to recover properly.
The source said, "Kebede is battling with an ankle injury. He hasn't been 100% for a while. He's really been playing while he's only 80 or 90%.
"We decided to let him recover properly and so he's not training with the first team. He'll do a bit of work with the physio and maybe some gym work. It shouldn't be too long before he's back."
