Ke Yona Team Ready For SuperSport United Challenge
SuperSport United should prepare themselves for a tough encounter when they come up against the Ke Yona Team, according to Owen Da Gama.
As one of the coaches for the Ke Yona Team, Da Gama says preparations have gone well for the side for their game against the Nedbank Cup champions.
The game will be played at the Makhulong Stadium on Sunday.
“The Ke Yona Team has been through an intense training program for the past seven months, and we are confident that they are both mentally and physically ready to take on a team as distinguished as SuperSport United, for the honour of being crowned the 2017 Nedbank Ke Yona Team Challenge winners.
“We have had a few key training sessions that saw us playing against the likes of Gavin Hunt’s Bidvest Wits team and walking away with a 1-1 draw. Through games such as these, the boys have been able to adjust to the pressure that comes with playing against professional teams.
“We have set out clear objectives for ourselves as coaches and the entire Ke Yona Team and as we are about to wrap up this year’s campaign, we are proud of the progress that we have made thus far and we are ready to give it our best shot,” said Da Gama.
It has been confirmed from the organisers that tickets for the match are free. Football fans are urged to head to their nearest Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers stores to redeem their free matchday tickets.
Fans need only to produce their South African identity documents at the participating stores to claim their tickets, which are limited to two tickets per individual.
