Kaizer Chiefs midfielder, Willard Katsande, says that the team is working on converting more chances, and that they’re still confident.
The Zimbabwean claimed the Man of the Match award in Chiefs’ recent 2-0 win over Free State Stars, and explained that, while individual awards are nice, he prefers it when the team wins.
Speaking to the club’s official website he said, “I feel good to be selected as the ‘Man of the Match’. More good, to me, is winning the three points. It is a team effort and the ‘Man of the Match’ of course makes a difference.
“The thing is, it all boils down to dedication. My family is also behind me all the way. To me it is about using the chance I have at the moment. Playing for a big team like Chiefs doesn’t come easy, and I am grateful for that. Kaizer Chiefs is a big brand.
“As a team we know that we are playing well despite losing some of the crucial games this season. The only problem we are working on at the moment is the converting of the many chances we have been creating. We are not taking our chances but we are working hard to solve that problem.”
The Amakhosi’s next game will see them lock horns with league leaders, Mamelodi Sundowns, on December 10, as they look to reclaim their place at the PSL’s summit.
