Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Willard Katsande says that he’s not worried about meeting his club teammates when Zimbabwe take on Bafana Bafana tonight.
Katsande could come up against a number of fellow Amakhosi when the two sides meet at Orlando Stadium tonight, and says that he’s wary of Gordon Igesund’s men following their 4-1 win over Botswana last weekend.
The 27-year-old told Chiefs’ official website, “The game against South Africa is a serious game for us. We want to compete in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations and the technical team is trying to assemble a team to take Zimbabwe football to the next level.
“Bafana Bafana is coming from a good win over the weekend and it will be a good test for us. It is also a test we are ready for and prepared to give our best to make sure we put smiles on the Zimbabweans.
Meanwhile, the combative midfield man said that he tweeted his teammate, Itumeleng Khune, this week, ahead of the game. He said, “I sent him a tweet that we will ‘meet them on Tuesday’. He replied that they will be ‘ready for us’.
“I am sure the feeling is the same with everyone in the team. They will come out to beat us but we are also motivated ahead of this game.
“I am not worried about coming up against my teammates at Club level, I have a responsibility to give my all for my country on Tuesday evening.”
